Funny elements I look for in tamil films - Part 1

NOTE:Please read this for enjoyment only.No one mentioned particularly. All the points below has   been adopted from movies at least 10 year before.

Villains Galore:
Commercial Tamil movie villains posses either or all of the below characteristics:
  1. The bad guy spends most of the time drinking alone at home or at a plushy bar.
  2. He is surrounded by a number of useless people giving worthless advices.
  3. He used to wear the costliest(perhaps the funniest) consumes.
  4. His mustache is the most attractive than anyone else in the entire movie.
  5. While his entry he used to make some awkward noises(noticeably in rape scenes)
  6. His part-time duty is to rape young girls(sometimes housewife and 2nd heroines)
Eg:In one of the movie i came across, the villain is the “Jamindaar”(Some rich guy).Soon after waking up he calls his "allakkai"(mentioned at point 2).And he tells tat fellow to check for any new girls in the village(ha ha ha ha)

7.If he walks on the street or comes cruising in a jeep(in most village based movies) the peoples walking on the road would give a free way fearing him;except for hero or the one is ought to be killed by him.
8.Universal Law I:How much ever he may win all aspects of the hero,in the climax the dutiful villain either surrenders or die terribly.
9.Universal Law II:The villain is alwtays a rich guy in most movies, yet he is always disrespected by most people(respect only for heros in tamil movie).
10.Universal Law III:The villain though he himself may had an love marriage, still he never like anyone involved in love affairs.
11.Though he is the village head,he never implements any good plans for the village.
12.If he fails in acquiring something from someonne,he make sure that no one acquires(he destroys it)
13.The evil guy  has immediate access to all weapons( or atleast a handgun or arivaal i.e.sickle).
14.Has a ridiculous appeal(Eg.a thick red stripe in his forehead,a bald head).
15.Wears enough ornaments that may even make his neck pain.

150 Mercedes sold in one day - Aurangabad,India.

It was all the more surprising that such a huge delivery for Merc came from not any mero city but from a small city-Aurangabad. The models delivered today range in price from 25 to 90 lakhs.

This is the largest bulk sale ever for Mercedes in India. Rs65 crores in a single transaction. Somewhere, a car salesman is in commission heaven.

Like all big ideas, this one started small. A few businessmen who knew each other decided to buy their Mercedes. Then they began actively soliciting acquaintances and friends of friends. 100 Benz-seekers came on board. Some wanted more than one car. Auto expert rajan Dhawan says that in a single day 150 Mercs are sold speaks enough about the growth story of India. " Now I can say safely that Aurangabad has
displaced Ludhiana in terms of sale of Mercs," he concludes.

"We did not get together and place a bulk order for a discount. Companies generally look at bigger cities for investment, but smaller cities like Aurangabad have good infrastructure too," says one proud owner of Merc. It may be recalled that the sugar fields of Kolhapur are dotted with BMWs or Landcruisers as often as they are with tractors. A few years ago, when politicians didn't know any better, these are the sort of scenes that made India Shining seem like a worthy slogan of a country heading towards super-powerdom.

There are 1,1 million people living in the city of Aurangabad, north east of the city of Mumbai in India.
To put Aurangabad on the World map, 150 local business men purchased a high end luxury Mercedes Benz each, in one go. The “media stunt” was as bid to display the prosperity in India, that held a population of 1,2 billion.
” This could well be the highest valued car deal in India. The group wants to put their hometown on the global map”, is the message of the Indian TV-channel IBN, who has a tie up with CNN.
The deal is valued at 650 Million rupees, of 15 million USD.  Aurangabad was once  a small city in the underdeveloped Marathawada region of the state of Maharashtra. Now its called “an economic hub”.
Rishi Darda, MD Lokmat group, said:
“We wanted to put Aurangabad on the world map.” Rahul Mishrikotkar, of RHS Ventures, said: “We want to invite all investors and industries to Aurangabad.”
Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India said there is tremendous economic power in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
These young owners are all set now to get into the driver’s seat to showcase Aurangabad as the new hope of Maharashtra.

Bugatti Veyron sets its footpath in India....

The world’s fastest and most expensive set of four wheels, the Bugatti Veyron, on Thursday drove into the land that made the world’s cheapest car, the Tata Nano — making India the only country where one can get a car for as low as R1 lakh and as high as Rs.16 crore!.The irony of the situation was not lost on the Bugatti officials who were present at the launch of the Veyron Grand Sport, but the defence for bringing something as ostentatious was not without reason. India has the maximum number of billionaires outside the US, and the list is also the fastest growing. Good enough for the Veyron.
“The car is a modern statement of ultra luxury, speed and extraordinary style and India, with its growing clan of billionaires and booming businesses, is a market that is hard to ignore,” said Julius Kruta, head of tradition, Bugatti Automobiles SAS. “India is a growing market for luxury and is also the hub as the land of erstwhile Mharajas, who were true patrons of bespoke luxury.”
The Veyron, with its massive 8,000cc engine and top speed of 407 kmph, is a car that loves its exclusivity and is made only for the nouveau riche. Bugatti makes only 300 units of its models and will make only 150 of the Veyron Grand Sport. How many will actually come to India is unclear but Exclusive Motors, the official importer, said affordability was not an issue.
“India has by far the most expensive house to boot, so affordability is never an issue,” said Satya Bagla, managing director, Exclusive Motors.
“We do not have a number in mind but now the car is here and we will see how people react to it. Globally, there is a very select band of people who own a Bugatti and I am sure in India there are people who would want to be in that category.”
